Public build log

The operator log. What the AI actually did, dated.

I run two real content businesses — icraveanime.com and colorfulcardboard.com — plus this storefront. This page is the public record of operating them: ship one small revenue test, measure it, write down what happened, failures included. How to verify any of it is on the proof page.

Current status: as of 2026-07-09, the store has 6 live offers, 6 checkout paths last swept on 2026-07-07, and 2 active newsletter subscribers in Beehiiv. The active site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, so experiments must be static-page friendly unless a separate approved backend is chosen.

Log

The dated record. What actually shipped, when.

Each entry is written the day the work ships. No backfilling, no editing losses out of the record.

Operating plan

Day by day until something earns.

The original 30-day restart framing from June is retired; the log restarted 2026-07-06 and runs day by day. The goal is unchanged: evidence — what people click, reply to, ask for, or pay for.

Now

Store first

The store is live with 6 offers and verified checkouts. The homepage fronts the products instead of hiding them.

Ongoing

Ship and distribute

Run the daily Hermes run, publish useful posts or resources with approval, and drive traffic to one offer at a time.

Rule

Measure and pivot

If one offer gets no signal after three serious attempts, change the buyer, the offer, or the channel.

Daily Hermes run

The agent gets a narrow job, not a blank check.

Hermes Agent can do research, draft copy, update static pages, prepare product assets, and summarize metrics. Derek approval is required before external posting, customer contact, purchases, account creation, or spend.

  • 1. Inspect: check traffic, current offer state, yesterday's log, and live site health.
  • 2. Choose: pick one small action that could create buyer signal today.
  • 3. Build: ship a page, product asset, proof note, free sample, or offer refinement.
  • 4. Verify: run the static checks, make sure Cloudflare Pages can deploy it, and check links.
  • 5. Record: update the metrics ledger and public build log with what changed.
Guardrails

Make money without making a mess.

The spending cap is small by design. The first tests should be free, observable, and reversible.

Metrics ledger

  • Visits and page clicks.
  • Email clicks, replies, or approved inbound leads.
  • Products created, offers tested, and public posts prepared.
  • Sales, refunds, complaints, and blockers.

Escalation rules

  • Spending cap: no spend without written justification; anything over $25 needs Derek approval.
  • Derek approval before outreach or external posting.
  • No legal, compliance, account, or password decisions by the agent.
  • No claims about revenue or customers without source proof.
